has recently announced its third quarter results for the period ended
October 31,2005. Aber's Chirman and CEO Robert Gannicott said,"Three

Beeers settles US Suits
De Beers has announced that an agreement
has been reached, and a preliminary approval order issued, settle
the majority of civil class action suits filed against De Beers in
the US. This settlement does not involve any admision of liability
on the part of De Beers and will bring an end to a number of outstanding
disputes, it said. DTC
appoints new worldwide The DTC has announced the appointment
of David Lamb as its Worldwide Marketing Director. The appointment
has been made following the appointment of former Worldwide Marketing
Derector, Stephen Lussier, to the post of Director of External and
Corporate Affairs for the De Beers Group. ...... IADC goes Global The Indo-Argyle Diamond Council (IADC)
has expanded to include services for retail jewelers worlwide and
also promote all jewelry categories beyond diamonds for a more diversified
membership of Indian manufacturers. This will make it easy for retailers
in any county, including Europe, Asia and South America to do business
with Indian vendors offering a wider array of merchandise, said the
IADC. ...... GIA Alerts trade The
GIA Laboratory recently discovered two counterfeit GIA Diamond Grading
Reports in Antwerp . It has alerted the trade to point out the security
features in authentic GIA reports, and how to verify the reports.
Tom Moses, senior vice president of the GIA Laboratory and Research,
said this is the latest instance of counterfeit GIA reports that have
been seen over the years. "The two reports discovered in Antwerp
purported to represent high quality-diamonds. Both were more than
three carats, and the report information indicated they were D color
and Internally Flawless. We were told that a buyer became suspicious
and had one of the diamonds tested. It turned out to be high pressure/high
temperature (HPHT) annealed." London Diamonds Exhibition London's
renowned Natural History Museum was recently forced to close early
an exhibition of some of the world's most valuable and famous diamonds
after police warned the Museum that the "Diamonds" Exhibition
had been made a target by thieves........ JCOC research reveals According
to consumer research conducted by the Jewelry Consumer Opinion Council
(JCOC), diamond jewelry, gold jewelry without gemstones and colored
gemstone jewelry were the most desired pieces for the holiday period.
JCOC found that 36.4% of consumers were interested in purchasing gold
jewelry -- with no gemstones -- over the holiday period, and 34.2%
were interested in colored gemstone jewelry, roughly equal to the
34% that
